“Oyama” Cup Results, Cluj-Napoca 2009

On november the 7th Cluj-Napoca hosted the first edition of the “Oyama” Cup reserved to children(8-12 years old) and beginner adults(over 18). There were almost 100(94) registered participants from 10 clubs all over the country.

The event was a total success, the audience really enjoied wathing the children’s competition and also the more “manly” fights from the adults competition. The technical level was pretty high considering that most participants have only a few months of kyokushin training.

C.S. Kyospirit Cluj-Napoca had 14 sportsman in the competition and returned with 11 medals: 4 gold, 7 bronze and also a few classifications in the first eight:

• 1st place: DANIEL RUSU Kumite Seniors  -90kg, MATHIEU WIDSGOWSKI Kumite Seniors -80kg, FABIOLA POP Kata Seniors F, SABIN SANISLAV Kata Seniors M
• 3rd place: DORU PRIPON Kumite Juniori 3 M cat. semi-mijlocie, DANA CIOBOTARU Kata Seniors F, ALEXANDRU CIOBICĂ Kata Seniors M, CUBLIȘAN RAUL Kumite Seniors M -60kg, MIHAI EVOIU Kumite Seniors M -90kg, VLAD GORGAN Kumite Seniors M +90kg, SABIN SANISLAV Kumite Seniors M +90kg
• 5th-8th place: DANIEL PRIPON Kumite Seniors M -60kg, ALEXANDRU CIOBICĂ Kumite Seniors M -70kg,  PAUL GEORGE TURNAGIU Kumite Seniors M -70kg,  ALEXANDRU TOFAN Kumite Seniors M -70kg, BARBU TRESTIAN Kumite Seniors -90kg
